Health Research Databases
The medical-administrative databases, registries, and cohorts in the health domain are tools of reference for epidemiological and public health research. Here you will find the tools at your disposal.
- Epidemiological Center on the Medical Causes of death (CépiDc) : an Inserm entity whose missions are to produce and disseminate national statistics on the medical causes of death and conduct studies and research on mortality data.
- Echantillon Généraliste des Bénéficiaires (EGB) : Inserm research teams and units have permanent access to the EGB, managed by CépiDc.
- National Health Data System (SNDS) : this will ultimately bring together data from the national health insurance fund (SNIIRAM database), hospitals (PMSI database), as well as data on the medical causes of death (Inserm CépiDC database), on disability (from regional MDPH centers/the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA)), and a data sample from the supplementary health insurance organizations.

- Epidemiology-France : an online catalog of the main French-sourced individual health databases, beneficial in the development of research and expertise in public health (excluding clinical trials).
