French Programs

Hubert Curien Science and Technology Amicable Relationship (STAR) Partnership

This program is aimed at encouraging the development of joint projects and scientific exchanges. With €800,000 over 2 years, it funds thirty projects each year in 7 scientific research areas (Aeronautics and Space, Life Sciences/Health/Biotechnology, Basic Sciences, Nanosciences and Materials Human and Social Sciences, ICST, Environmental Sciences). The program is managed by the National Research Foundation (NRF) on the Korean side and the French Embassy in the Republic of Korea on the French side.

French Embassy Blaise Pascal Program

This scholarships of excellence program offers South Korean students from the best universities in the country the opportunity to work in reputed French institutions (M1, M2 and Ph.D.).

Programs Implemented by the NRF of Korea

Global Research Laboratory Program

This program is aimed at strengthening international collaborative research between laboratories/research centers/institutions in South Korea and abroad (500 million KRW maximum per project per year, which is approximately €360,000).

This program aims to establish and support a joint research center that promotes the internal mobility of foreign researchers in South Korea. The funding amount is approximately 600 million KRW per project.
