Futurapolis is a show dedicated to innovation and the upheavals it produces. As a major player in health innovation, Inserm is taking part in the event.
Futurapolis approaches the technologies that build the world of tomorrow. From connected cities to the Makers revolution, all fields are represented. Every year for 2 to 3 days, Toulouse welcomes startupers, students, international experts or simply curious for debates, demonstrations and creative competitions.
Ranked among the most innovative organizations worldwide, Inserm is naturally a partner. 3D printing of tissues, robotic prostheses or nanomedicines: our researchers are working every day on the next medical advances. Sometimes founders of startups or patent holders, they are involved in the creation of new health products for patients.
At Futurapolis, Inserm scientists provide a unique voice on the challenges and prospects of innovation. They embody a medical research committed to society and its evolution, far from the cliché of ivory tower scientists. For the Institute, it is crucial to show this kind of science, focused on current concerns and determined to solve them through innovation.
Futurapolis is a free event organized by Le Point, the city of Toulouse and the Occitania region. Inserm has been a partner since the 1st edition in 2012. The Institute participates in debates, conferences and presents its latest educational exhibitions.
